How to Develop a Seamless Underwear Sample: The OEM Process
The OEM process for developing a seamless underwear sample: what to prepare, yarn confirmation, US$100 sampling in 7–10 days, and bulk production in 20–30 days.
Introduction
Seamless underwear is knitted, not cut and sewn — the garment comes off the machine in one piece, with no side seams. That changes how sampling works: yarn and knit structure are decided before anything is produced. Here is the exact OEM process we run for seamless underwear samples, including what to prepare, what it costs, and how long each step takes.
Step 1 — Send Your Style Requirements
Send reference photos or sketches, your size range, and target quantity. A full tech pack helps, but it is not required for seamless development: tell us the hand feel, stretch and coverage you want, and our team translates that into yarn and knit structure. Seamless underwear is typically nylon-spandex; we confirm the exact composition and weight with you before sampling.
Step 2 — Yarn and Machine Confirmation
Because seamless garments are knitted to shape, yarn selection happens before any sample exists. We confirm the yarn composition, denier and machine assignment, then give you a fixed sampling cost and timeline — no surprises later.
Step 3 — Sampling (US$100, 7–10 Days)
Sampling is US$100 for regular seamless styles, covering knitting, dyeing and finishing of your sample — refunded when you place the formal order. Your sample ships by courier, typically US$40–100 depending on country, quoted before you pay anything.
Step 4 — Fit Review and Revisions
Seamless fit is controlled by the knit program, not scissors: compression zones, waistband grip and shaping are adjusted in the knitting structure. One revision round is normal — we update the program and resample so the fit matches your market.
Step 5 — Bulk Production (20–30 Days)
After you approve the sample, bulk takes 20–30 days, with in-line QC during knitting and finishing. Minimum quantities depend on yarn stock for your color — send your target quantity and we confirm what is possible before you commit.
Step 6 — QC Photos, Payment and Shipping
Before anything ships, you receive QC photos of the actual bulk goods. Payment is T/T — 30% deposit to start, 70% balance before shipment. We ship worldwide by courier with door-to-door pricing, and DDP is available on request.
